"People of the Sun" project in Malawi

We would like to share the very innovative project “People of the Sun” with you as you may find it inspiring. People of the Sun works with artisans in Malawi to create innovative new designs that are based in tradition. The artisans make a range of products using sustainable locally available materials.

In fact, People of the Sun is not a classic project as such but a social enterprise. “A social enterprise is an organization that applies commercial strategies to maximize improvements in human and environmental well-being - this may include maximizing social impact rather than profits for external shareholders.” See link to definition here.
