Zimbabwe ratified the interim Economic Partnership Agreement (iEPA) with the
EU in 2012, starting its  and  provisional application on 14th May,
2012.  This agreement offers Zimbabwe a preferential access to the EU market
but, how can local business benefit from it?* How can Zimbabwean business
export their vegetables, clothing or wood to the EU?*

The EU Delegation in Zimbabwe and the European Commission's Trade dept will
organise Export Helpdesk [1] capacity-building seminars in Harare in June to
clarify these issues.

To support capacity development, and dialogue among practitioners, EuropeAid
Unit B2 “Civil Society and Local Authorities” is organising an *Inception
Seminar* on 7-8 November 2013 on “Management of the Project Cycle and
Monitoring of Project Implementation”: for the Beneficiaries of new
projects (of Calls for Proposals 131140, 131141, 131142 and 131143
launched under the NSA-LA programme). About 140 participants are
foreseen.

The *overall objectives *of the Seminar are to contribute to (i) a better
project management by the Grant Beneficiaries under the NSA/LA Programme, in
consistency with the principle of aid effectiveness; (ii) the improvement of
knowledge on the roles of Project Managers and EC Task Managers; (iii) the
enhancement of cooperation and coordination among on-going projects and (iv)
exchange of experiences.

Commission, to inform business in developing countries on how to export to
the EU.

Ines Escudero, Export Helpdesk coordinator, will go to Senegal to explain
step-by-step how to reach the EU market.

Just in a few clicks, business can find:

*How?*

It provides business with the full list of requirements its product needs to
fulfill to enter the EU market

*How much?*

It calculates the import tariff applying to its product and informs business
if a preferential tariff applies in its specific case

*How to obtain a preferential tariff?*

It explains the preferential trade agreements applying to its product and
country and informs on how to implement them

It also explains how to prove the origin of a product

*With whom can I do business?*

It provides business with a list of EU trade contacts

*Who is importing/exporting?*

It assists market research by providing detailed statistics on EU trade flows
product-by-product
