Trainees should be able after the 3 training modules to us Mobile phone apps
to improve sustainable agriculture, and Internet for research (job
advertisements, information concerning SDGs, free online courses, health,
legal, Women's rights, climate change, peace, addresses, institutions,
companies etc.). In addition Trainees should be able to write, send and
receive e-mail. After completing the training participants can join our
Community of Practices where they will have access to the training 
materials  and  gain  more  knowledge  on  ICT  and  explore 
other  development.

Over the last three years, Marcus Cornaro worked as Deputy Director General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO). Before taking up his new post as Head of the European Union Delegation to South Africa, he spoke to capacity4dev.eu about his views on development, the problems we’re facing today in the neighbourhood region, the migratory crisis and his hopes for his new post.

The focus of the training is to equip  youth in rural area in Nigeria, Abuja
with basic ICT skills and as a result making them agents of development who
will continue to educate other children in the communities.

Last October, Marcus Cornaro left the Directorate General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO) to take up a new post as Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation to South Africa. In this interview he shares some of the challenges of working in a graduating country and how South Africa can serve as an example to the region.
The inclusion of disability in the Sustainable Development Goals is a breakthrough for the billion people around the world who experience some form of disability. Four-fifths live in developing countries, and although they are amongst the poorest, they often find their needs ignored by local governments and aid programmes alike. The challenge ahead for the EU and its partners is to bring the spirit of the SDGs into the detail of aid programming.
