The United Nations General Assembly has decided to celebrate the first World
Youth Skills Day (WYSD) on 15 July 2015to raise awareness on the importance
of investing in youth skills development. WYSD celebrations coincide with an
important year of setting the agenda for the future: a new climate agreement,
and the adoption of the Sustainable Development goals are just around the
corner. That is why this year’s theme is “*Youth skills for work and life
in the post-2015 agenda*”.
The "Employment, Social Inclusion and Migration" Unit in EuropeAid (DEVCO D3) has organised a knowledge-sharing Regional Seminar on Employment and Skills Development with a focus on Youth in Amman on 21-23 May 2012.
All development projects have a direct or indirect impact on children. The toolkit "How to mainstream child rights into EU development cooperation," is a major EU-UNICEF joint achievement for the year 2013. The conference will present this unique reference and guide for the use of all EU staff in delegations and Headquarters, but also other donors and CSOs.
