Trainees should be able after the 3 training modules to us Mobile phone apps
to improve sustainable agriculture, and Internet for research (job
advertisements, information concerning SDGs, free online courses, health,
legal, Women's rights, climate change, peace, addresses, institutions,
companies etc.). In addition Trainees should be able to write, send and
receive e-mail. After completing the training participants can join our
Community of Practices where they will have access to the training 
materials  and  gain  more  knowledge  on  ICT  and  explore 
other  development.

The Improving Forest Governance course is a 4-week, UK-based residential
course that covers a variety of forest governance issues. The course is
conducted in English, French and Spanish with simultaneous interpretation
and is taught by experienced tutors from the Centre for International
Development and Training, as well as leading international experts and
practitioners on forest governance, climate change, REDD+ and
multi-stakeholder processes from the UK and abroad. Participants are immersed
in training and benefit from high quality field trips, including visiting a
Chatham House Illegal Logging update meeting in London.

The overall aim of the CSDP High Level Course (HLC) is to prepare selected
senior individuals from EU Member States and EU Institutions for leadership
positions in the application and development of the CSDP policy, crisis
management and capability development, which are able to cooperate
effectively with the various actors in this field. The course aims to broaden
course participants’ knowledge and understanding of the EU security and
defence architecture, the comprehensive nature of the CSDP as a key tool of
CFSP, current and anticipated policy, missions and operations, as well as to
increase their awareness of human rights and gender, freedom security and
justice and horizontal issues.

The training delivered both via the eLearning platform and during the
residential Modules promotes a common European security culture and aims to
foster the network of future leaders involved in the strategic aspects of the
CFSP/CSDP.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs, CABI, GODAN, CTA and Wageningen UR are
partnering to organise the 3rd Workshop on Creating Impacts with Open Data in
Agriculture and Nutrition [1]. The workshop will be hosted at the Ministry of
Economic Affairs in The Hague.

The objectives of this workshop are:

● To build action agendas to strengthen the role of open data in achieving
sustainable production of food at lower environmental and social costs from
both a public and private sector perspective;

● To identify and scope Big Wins of Open Data towards impact and build
collaborative partnerships for implementation;

● To develop organizational and practical capacities for working with open
data in a meaningful way.

The workshop will bring together a mix of key players from public as well as
private sector organisations at national, international and global level:
governments, businesses, consultants, universities, research organisations
and NGOs. The participants are invited to share their views, practices,
success stories/failures and business cases in participatory workshops and
interactions. All participants will be invited to commit to personal action
plans and concrete steps to actively turn the power of open data into real
impact.
