Media is not always part of the conversation when it comes to the overall
development picture. To ensure that media is incorporated into the post-2015
agenda, interested groups secured a side meeting at the first High-Level
Meeting of the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation in
April. This webinar will serve as a briefing on the results of this meeting,
and highlight successful cases where media development projects had lasting
impact on government accountability.

/This webinar will be conducted using Google Hangouts.  You will be able to
view the webinar on *LenCD* [1], on *YouTube [2]*, or on Google+.  Send
comments and questions to the presenters via Twitter *#cimaevents [3]*. /

in B-1050 Bruxelles (Belgium)
Organised byDevCo B2 unit with the DEAR Support Team

A 2-day showcase of the ongoing Development Education and Awareness Raising
projects took place in Brussels, from 22nd to 23rd October.

The DEAR Fair forms part of a developing programme of networking, sharing
learning and increasing the visibility of the European Commission’s DEAR
Programme.

In the framework of the European Year for Development 2015 the DEAR Fair
enables the EC funded DEAR projects to exhibit their work, network with other
projects, exchange ideas and discuss issues that are relevant to the
development and implementation of development education and awareness raising
activities in the European Union.

This was the first time a DEAR Fair was organised. Participants and visitors
- circa 200- came mostly from CSOs and Local Authories implementing DEAR
projects and from within the European Commission.

It is the intention that the DEAR Fair 2017 will be open to a wider public -
information will be shared here at Capacity4Dev soon.
