Following the successful 18th Poverty Environment Partnership (PEP) meeting
hosted by GIZ in Berlin in May 2013, the European Commission is pleased to
host the forthcoming 19th PEP meeting, in Durban, South Africa.

In line with the discussions and decisions taken at the last PEP meeting, it
is proposed that the focus of this year's meeting will be "From Cities to
Sustainable Development Goals: Experiences with Green Economy and Climate
Change Mainstreaming".

A draft agenda, registration form and other key documents will be posted
here as they become available.

The ILO, UNEP, UNIDO, UNITAR, and UNDP are very pleased to announce the
upcoming first *global Academy on the Green Economy*, an inter-regional
learning and knowledge sharing event to support countries’ transition
towards inclusive, resource and energy efficient, greener economies.
Hosted by the International Training Centre of the International Labour
Organisation (ITC-ILO) from 6 to 17 October 2014 in Turin, Italy, the Academy
is organized within the framework of the *Partnership for Action on Green
Economy (PAGE)*.

The Green Fiscal Policy Network, a joint partnership between UNEP, GIZ and
IMF which aims to facilitate knowledge sharing, learning and dialogue on
fiscal policies to support the inclusive green economy, will organize an
event entitled “Making Paris Happen – The role of fiscal policies for a
low-carbon, inclusive green economy” on Tuesday 31 May. This event will
examine how fiscal policies can support implementation of the Paris Climate
Agreement by raising revenues for green investment and shifting incentives.

In order to coordinate and expand the Eye on Earth community, a core alliance
comprising of AGEDI, UNEP, GEO/GEOSS, IUCN and WRI was formally established
in 2014.  The Alliance will be further expanded to include key regional
partners. The 5-member global Alliance is taking the lead on organising the
second Summit in Abu Dhabi, 6-8 October 2015.
