Development programmes always strive to be as effective as possible – one way of achieving efficiency is to combine the strengths of all partners working in the sector. A recent evaluation of EU Joint Programming has shown that this policy mechanism offers many advantages.
The GCCA+ flagship initiative has undergone over the last months a thorough independent global evaluation. The final report is now available. It will be used to refine and strengthen the GCCA+ action over the coming years. A summary of the evaluation and a french version are also available.
In the context of continuous efforts of the EU towards results-oriented approaches, DG DEVCO hosted an EU-UN joint workshop to advance current discussions on results-based financing (RBF) and cost schemes on 22 March.
