The Brussels Briefings are organised since 2007 every tow months by the
ACP-EU Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) with the
European Commission, the Group of Ambassadors from Africa, the Caribbean and
the Pacific and Concord, the network of civil society organisations across
the 27 EU Member States.These are policy dialogues to increase awareness
amongst the Brussels based policy-makers and development community on key and
emerging issues related to agriculture and rural development
(http://brusselsbriefings.net [1]). These Briefings are a half-day meeting
with two panels followed by a discussion with the audience. The target group
is around 150 ACP-EU policy makers (ambassadors and technical staff),
European Commission, representatives of EU Member States, civil society
groups, European research networks, Members of ACP and EU Parliaments,
researchers and development practitioners, international organizations based

Acknowledging the importance of building the skills and the knowledge of the staff working in/on fragile and conflict-affected countries, between 14th and 16th April 2014, the European Commission, DG DEVCO 07 – Fragility and Crisis Management Unit, in partnership with the European Security and Defence College and the European Institute of Public Administration, conducted the third session of the course on “/EU External Action: Fragility, Security and Development in a Changing World/.” The training took place in Brussels and gathered 54 participants coming from EU institutions (European Commission, European External Action Service,  European Parliament), but also from EU agencies, NATO and Member States.
