This high-level meeting will be a key occasion to discuss with the main
international development partners on the role of employment for development,
and within the post-2015 agenda. The event constitutes the final conference
of the EC-ILO joint project "Monitoring and assessing progress on decent
work". The objective of the project is to develop a global methodology to
promote better self-monitoring of decent work outcomes in developing and
transition countries world-wide. It has been implemented in several pilot
countries: Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Ukraine, Peru,
Brazil, Niger and Zambia. The event will serve to discuss the project
experience and challenges ahead to support partner countries in meeting the
