Sign-up to the 2013 CAPE Conference [1], which will look at how budgets
actually work in the real world and explore the latest thinking on how they
can deliver better development outcomes.  Bringing together a distinguished
array of global leaders and thinkers, the conference aims to shed light on
two overarching questions:

* How does budgeting and public financial management really work in
* What – if anything – can reformers do to strengthen budgets to improve
development outcomes?

A ground-breaking, open source tool which allows banks to test their loan portfolios for vulnerability to major droughts was launched on 5 April 2017 in London.

Domestic resource mobilization is high on the development agenda, and revolves around how developing countries can raise more revenues through their own tax systems and natural resource management. The idea is to create a less aid-dependent, more nationally-accountable, predictable and stable stream of financing for development and poverty eradication.
