Progress of the World’s Women (2011-2012); In Pursuit of Justice.

This report published by UN WOMEN, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, gives an overview of advances made in the area of women’s legal rights and the challenges ahead to realize human rights for all women worldwide. The report is full of concrete and replicable examples as well as innovative approaches on how to overcome obstacles for women who are excluded from justice. Special attention is given to challenges and opportunities for women living in areas affected by armed conflict.
