The European Forest Institute is seeking a Private Sector Expert to improve understanding and develop support mechanisms for Small and Medium Enterprises to comply with changing market requirements for timber in Southeast Asia.
The EU FLEGT Facility has just made available a report on the testing of export and import procedures for Indonesia’s timber and timber products. The report is titled ‘V-Legal/FLEGT shipment test – Lessons learned from the EU visits’.
The Government of Indonesia invites comments until 15 May on its draft revised SVLK regulations to be issued in June this year. SVLK stands for Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas Kayu, Indonesia's timber legality assurance system. The draft regulations are building blocks for the Indonesia–EU VPA.
