EUTR News - June to August 2017
The latest issue of ClientEarth's EUTR News is now available. It provides an update on the operation of the EU’s law to address illegal logging, the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR), from June to August 2017.
To access the EUTR News, please follow this link. The French, Spanish and Mandarin versions will be available soon.
As with all of our previous editions, this issue includes information on what both the European Commission and EU Member States are doing to ensure the proper application of the EUTR, and provides updates on similar legislation internationally.
In this issue specifically, you will find updates on the European Commission’s long awaited draft work plan on FLEGT; an important court ruling on the EUTR in the EU; and Interpol’s global forestry crime conference. We also link to a number of resources and publications that aim to inform readers on progress and key elements related to forestry and trade.
We hope you find the update useful.
