With the support of the UK Department of International Development (DFID) and
the EC. The Centre for International Development and Training (CIDT) of the
University of Wolverhampton is organising 1 week programme for forest sector
educators in Liberia entitled ‘Teaching and Learning for Improved Forest
Governance’. The training programme will involve participants from the
Forestry Training Institute Liberia, the University of Liberia and training
institutions in Liberia.
The aim of the training programme is to explore the implications of the
growing prominence of natural resource governance specifically forest
governance for curricula and approaches to teaching and learning in Higher
Education in Liberia.

consultation meeting that was held on the 14th-15th Janauary 2013 at Le
Meridien Hotel, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah as well as the JEM meeting
4) To update and improve the Sabah TLAS from both meetings.
The Illegal Logging Stakeholder Update meetings provide updates on the latest
initiatives, regulations and research in the area of forest governance and
trade in illegal timber. They have been at the heart of Chatham House's work
on the issue since the first meeting was held in 2002. The meetings are held
every six months.
