COMPETITION: Story and sound art competition – Share your ideas on reaching “zero poverty, zero emissions”
*Deadline extended to 28 November 2014*
For the first time in history, there is the opportunity to integrate global efforts to tackle climate change and poverty, setting the world on a path to achieve zero extreme poverty and zero net emissions within a generation. In Lima, Peru, on 6-7 December, at the heart of this year’s United Nations climate talks, Development & Climate Days 2014 will explore how the world can achieve these goals.
‘D & C Days 2014’ is a two day programme of incisive debate and participatory activities for policy-makers and practitioners, convened by the Red Cross/Red Crescent Climate Centre, the International Institute for Environment and Development, the Overseas Development Institute and the Climate Development Knowledge Network.
We invite you to share your experiences of climate change with policy-makers at Development & Climate Days 2014 and with a global audience that will be ‘tuning in’ to the debate, by entering our blogging, vlogging and sound art competition. Enter your blog, vlog or recording to our competition and be a part of the big debate on bringing ‘Zero Poverty-Zero Emissions’ within reach. We encourage entries from all world regions and will look to showcase selected entries from each one:
- Sub Saharan Africa
- Middle East and North Africa
- Asia and Oceania
- Latin America and the Caribbean
- North America and Europe
Entries are welcomed in three categories: ‘My story’ category; ‘My big idea’ category and the ‘My sound in miniature’ category.
