Launching the institutional video of the "ACP-EU Natural Disaster Risk Reduction Programme"

With the UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction approaching (14-18 March 2015, Sendai, Japan), the European Union delivers on its external action.

This Programme results from an on-going partnership between the EU, the ACP Group and the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery, in the framework of the Intra-ACP Cooperation.

The ACP-EU NDRR supports Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation activities in ACP countries through technical assistance, capacity building and advisory/analytical support at regional and national level.

Since 2011 it has built a portfolio of more than 50 projects, delivering on a wide spectrum of areas, including: risk assessments, community-based resilience, land use planning, risk financing, preparedness and early warning systems and post-disaster assessments for resilient recovery and reconstruction planning.
