Social Protection and the Informal Sector in Developing Countries - World Bank 2001

This discussion paper consists of two parts. The first part identifies the sources of income insecurity and vulnerability among workers in the so called informal sector in developing countries; the second part deals with the challenge of developing a comprehensive approach to social protection for the informal sector.
