Budget support and environment
Dear all,
the EC will most probably put in place a budget support programme for the environmental "sector" in Algeria... does any of you know if this has already been done in other countries?
I am looking for exemples..we will soon start working on the matrix and any experience could be of help....

Comment from DE CONINCK Sophie from 21/09/2012: (Although not environment per se, you can find examples of budget support programmes on climate change on the www.gcca.eu website. Such programmes exist in Seychelles, Mauritius, Bhutan, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Rwanda, and Guyana. Some focus on climate change and another sector, other on overall development. The one in Bhutan focuses on climate change and the natural resources sector. Best wishes, Sophie

In Ghana we have done a Natural Resources and Environmental Governance Sector Budget Support intervention - with 4 other donors. A very interesting and challenging experience. Let me know if interested (jannik.vaa@ec.europa.eu) and I can post you relevant mateiral. You can also google NREG Ghana.
