Transitioning to a Public Procurement Management Tool

A shift from FMB/EuropeAid to PPMT 

Procurement Publication Management has been decentralised for the RELEX-family DGs (DG DEVCO, DG NEAR, and FPI). From August 2020, DG INTPA, DG NEAR, and FPI are expected to use the corporate tool called PPMT (Public Procurement Management Tool) instead of the Functional Mailboxes (FMBs) and the EuropeAid website, to publish tender dossiers and Contract Notices. In the future, it is foreseen that there will be an interface between PPMT and OPSYS for launching contracting procedures.

PPMT is a hub that interacts with other IT tools of the Commission such as e-Procurement, ARES, e-Notices and TED (Tenders Electronic Daily). Following the rolling out of the pilot project with North Macedonia, the PPMT trainings for FIAs, FVAs and OIAs commenced in August, focused on the needs of the RELEX-family DGs. 

 

Access for Local Agents

Please note that access to PPMT has now been granted to Local Agents (AL and JPD). OPSYS Change Management proposes information sessions to External Partners, and there are two sessions scheduled for September 2020.
