About where we are with OpSys - Knowledge management update of April 2016
About one year ago I gave you a feedback on Opsys final report which was endorsed by DEVCO management on 27/04/2015 and I provided regular update at KM network meetings.
Let's provide a little bit more stuff about where we are with Opsys.
First we created in March 2016 our intranet page and you will find there the essential background about Opsys:
If you have any suggestion on it please don't hesitate to let me know.
Our Opsys programme has been split into 6 core projects to be implemented in 2016-2019:
Then what will happen in 2016 is the following:
Deliver by end of 2016 a pilot for Opsys project 1 "results management and operational entities"; it will be tested in a few volunteer EU Delegations and HQ units; it will provide a first improvement in term of knowledge management by creating the project/programme entity (pivot for collecting data on project/programmes as for results and for monitoring and reporting), by introducing an HERMES based document management, an easy search function and by providing progressively information on achieved results for all projects and programmes; scope:
Scope of Project 1 - stand April 2016
Set up the framework for project 2A "actions and level 1 commitment" and start IT developments; it will provide further improvements in term of knowledge management as for sector tagging and HERMES based document management (replacing CRIS Decision module); tentative scope:
Scope of Project 2B
Prepare project 2B "contracts and level 2 commitment", starting with the re-use analysis of EC corporate solutions as grant management suite (RTD) and e-procurement (DIGIT); it will provide an additional step in term of knowledge management (replacing CRIS Contract module); tentative scope:
Scope of project 2B - stand April 2016
