Welcome to the new Joint Programming newsletter!
Welcome to the new Joint Programming newsletter. In this pilot edition and future issues we share news and lessons learned from Joint Programming experiences to date. Whether it’s the practical aspects or case studies to show how Joint Programming delivers added value in development effectiveness, European Union leverage, impact and visibility, this is your new forum for exchange and discussion.
Delivered straight to your inbox each quarter, this newsletter is open to all interested stakeholders including European Institutions staff, representatives of EU Member States, partner country representatives, civil society groups and the wider public. Please share this information with your colleagues and encourage those interested to sign up to future issues by emailing jointprogramming [at] gmail.com.
The newsletter is about sharing experiences in an accessible and easy to read manner. All content is hosted on the capacity4dev.eu platform where you can comment on any of the newsletter articles and videos or share your own information and experiences in Joint Programming, as well as access detailed technical guidance and documents.
Joint Programming enables EU Member States and the European Union institutions to coordinate and strategise their development initiatives before implementation, ensuring the best possible response in a homogenous EU approach. For partner countries better coordination means less gaps and overlaps in development assistance, more aid predictability and greater adherence to national priorities.
We’ll keep you abreast of outcomes from recent developments and meetings on Joint Programming. If you want to share your experiences in Joint Programming or have a hot topic to suggest and wish to contribute to a future issue of the newsletter, get in touch. The team would also like to hear from you if you have a Joint Programming event that we can flag for other readers.
