Dear fellow participants,

Welcome to this Intra-ACP Agricultural Policy Programme (APP) community on Capacity4Dev !

Set-up in October 2013, this group aims to share knowledge and best practices on Intra-ACP APP 4 key priority areas :

-          Policy

-          Markets

-          Research and development and Climate change

-          Knowledge management

In brief, the main objectives of the Intra-ACP APP project are to contribute to the following outcomes:
  • Policy regimes and incentive schemes for smallholders in the regional agricultural development strategies;
  • Food security at regional and level by increasing production and productivity of selected commercial and nutritionally valuable produce. This is enabled by using technological and organizational solutions that address specific development constraints of smallholder groups and rural communities;
  • Regional institutional capacity strengthening etc.

Exploring the whole African Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) regions, the Intra-ACP APP draws a special focus on Caribbean and Pacific countries. The latter have in common a lot of similarities in terms of trade, agriculture and knowledge sharing.

As experts in your respective fields, this online space allows you to share your experience and exchange of knowledge and expertise between group members and the project implementing partners.

Please read the GUIDELINES prior to posting.

Looking forward to your active participation to this group.

MORE ABOUT CAPACITY4DEV

Capacity4dev.eu is a knowledge sharing community composed of thousands of development and cooperation professionals, from the European Commission and EEAS, EU member states, partner countries, civil society and the research community. Since its launch, capacity4dev.eu has become DG Europe Aid’s primary online knowledge sharing tool. This interactive platform was established to support capacity development and the aid effectiveness agenda through knowledge sharing and the exchange of best practices. One of the site’s main technical strengths lies in its ability to tag and categorise information into thematic groups.
