The author of the Background Paper commissioned by the EC, Anna McCord from ODI, will present the conclusion of the study. The document defines social protection and identifies the key issues for social protection in developing countries based on a clear historical, social and economic understanding, including a review of what other donors are doing in the field, and outlines a strategy on how the EuropeAid can support partner countries in establishing effective, inclusive, sustainable social protection systems.
