UNICEF Innovations: From start-up to scale up
For the launch of its Global Innovation Centre and Innovation Fund (learn more here), UNICEF published a catalogue of the innovations that country offices, innovation labs and partners are working on, including U-Report, EduTrack, mHealth, the Internet of Good Things and others.
The catalogue also presents UNICEF's 9 principles for Innovation and Technology in Development:
- Design with the User
- Understand the Existing Ecosyste,
- Design for Scale
- Build for Sustainability
- Be Data Driven
- Use Open Standards, Open Data, Open Source and Open Innovation
- Reuse and Improve
- Do no harm
- Be Collaboative
