“Identifying Critical and Emerging Issues for Food Security and Nutrition: The contribution of science to the global policy debate”.

From

Food security and nutrition (FSN) are influenced by a range of issues, with a wide range of stakeholders concerned, and require an integrated approach, from local to global levels.

The HLPE, Agropolis and Chaire UNESCO organize the seminar "“Identifying Critical and Emerging Issues for Food Security and Nutrition: The contribution of science to the global policy debate” in order to discuss this integratd approach, especially in relation to two topics which are part of the HLPE work. The first session will be dedicated to the debate around the findings of the HLPE report on “Sustainable Agricultural Development for FSN, what roles for Livestock?”. The second session of the event will be concentrated on the role of HLPE in identifying, for the Committee of World Food Security (CFS),  the "critical and emerging issues for FSN” in the overall perspective of the Agenda 2030 in order to inform the global policy debate.

The event is public and will be also webcast live.
