Who are we ?
Started in 2008, as an initiative of the Directorate General for International Cooperation and Development (DEVCO) namely Unit 'Rural Development, Food Security and Nutrition' and Unit 'Knowledge management', the ROSA network has been hosted on Capacity4Dev since March 2013.
The objectives of the network
The group has three complementary objectives: networking, sharing information and exchanging experiences and knowledge among practitioners in the field of food and nutrition security. Particularly, ROSA offers:
•access to relevant information on issues relating to food security;
•a place for exchanging ideas, experiences and good practices;
•regular updates on key subjects in the field of food security;
•a collaborative working tool which promotes interaction between network members.
To inform its members, the network has produced more than 50 newsletters, covering events, EC publications and much more. ROSA currently comprises 500 members, including staff of the EC, the EU Delegations, international organisations, civil society organisations and the private sector.
In February 2016, ROSA was awarded a prize as the second most active of 109 public groups on Capacity4Dev.
