European Development Days 2016: Forest and farm producer organisations as operating systems for the Sustainable Development Goals

Organised forest and farm producers make up a vast majority of rural livelihoods. Their organisations improve producers' access to markets and influence policy discussions in a truly representative manner. They have strategic agendas and increasingly establish partnerships to transform rural economies into sustainable pathways for the future.

This session will generate discussion on how to ensure a more central role for forest and farm producer organisations in the SDG process. Participants are invited to contribute their various perspectives and backgrounds.
