Research and Innovation for sustainable agriculture and food and nutrition security

Published in June 2014, this working document presents the DEVCO approach to agricultural research for development (AR4D) in the context of current policy priorities in sustainable agriculture, nutrition and resilience and how it is positioned within the European and global agenda to achieve maximum impact. It is intended to provide a basis for policy dialogue and resource mobilisation and to guide staff at EU Headquarters and Delegations in the identification and supervision of research and innovation initiatives. Particular emphasis is placed on innovative ways to put research into use and to scale up success.
