In 2012, an important food crisis again hit the Sahel. With Action Against Hunger and Save the Children, Oxfam published an information document which intends to learn from the response made by the States of the area and donors, and proposes to think a new model of prevention and crisis management around the concept of 'resilience '. After an introductory section, the report is structured around four chapters that address:

  1. 2012 crisis and its causes
  2. progress in the response
  3. measures for the strengthening of the resilience of the communities
  4. recommendations to the States, donors and aid agencies
