Land Management and Land Administration
The seminar aims to introduce policy advisors and experts in rural development and natural resource management to concepts and practices in land administration and governance based on scientific research and practical evidence. On an international level, the past 50 years have provided an enormous wealth of examples and experiences in dealing with property rights, land reform and land registration. It has been understood that unlimited exploitation of natural resources and untransparent acquisition of land leads to conflicts, soil degradation and unsustainable land-use practices.
