Harvest Plus - Annual Report 2012

Harvest Plus, working on biofortification programs, published July 2, 2013 its annual report 2012. This report focused on four highlights of the organism in 2012:

• The success of the program of biofortification of vitamin A of orange sweet potatoes in Uganda, which was the topic of an article in Journal of nutrition. And the other programs;

• The expansion on the South American continent and the Caribbean (The AgroSalud program);

• The new status of Member with Observer Status for the International Food Policy Research Institute in the Codex Alimentarius Commission in order to develop standards for biofortification;

• Harvest Plus came under the CGIAR Research Program on Agriculture for Nutrition and Health (A4HN) led by IFPRI.
