New: Gender and nutrition brief

Gender equality matters for nutritional outcomes and improved nutritional outcomes matter for gender equality. International evidence clearly demonstrates that empowering women is central to tackling malnutrition, without which the eff ectiveness of nutrition-sensitive programming will be compromised. The EU is committed to improving gender equality and empowering women and girls in its nutrition-sensitive agricultural investments. This Brief is designed to help EU staff apply a gender lens to nutrition-related programming in the rural sector. Please click on the attachment to read more.

Please note that this is not a formal position paper from the EU but rather an informative brief on the subject.
