Jadesola Bello

Jadesola is a chartered accountant and a Public Financial Management Specialist. She had a private sector background before her debut into development consulting. She was the Lead Assessor in the EU/SRIP- Institutional Reforms and Change Management process of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the monitoring and evaluation of the Reforms at the subnational level.

Jadesola was responsible for 2018 development and populating of Nigeria’s Accountability Index Framework at the instance of DFID/IFAC/ICAN. The exercise involved key performance areas of PFM systems of the Federal Government and 36 subnational governments in Nigeria. The core areas are: Policy-based Fiscal Strategy and Budgeting; Budget Credibility; Management of Assets & Debts, Control in budget execution, Accounting and Recording and External scrutiny and audit.

A PEFA diagnosis expert, she has supported PEFA assessment as PFM Consultant to States.She was involved in the development template of  HIV/AIDS National Strategic Framework & Development Plan (NSF/NSP 2010-2015)and costing of the plan.she has supoorted capacity assessment, institutional development of government institutions and  capacity building and training of civil servants.

She supported Nigerian Governors Forum as PFM Expert on State Fiscal Transparency and Accountability (SFTAS) Project. She provides Technical Advisory to States by building capacities on PFM to meet WB SFTAS eligibility Criteria (EC) and Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLIs). This role includes both technical advisory, capacity building and training. The assignment covers PFM components of Budget Reliability and Financial Reporting; Improvement in Cash Management and reduced revenue leakages through implementation of TSA; Strengthening Tax Administration and IGR collection; Expenditure efficiency through reduction of payroll fraud deploying biometric verification and use of bank verification number and Increasing Transparency and Value For Money through strengthened procurement practices

She has supported WB mission project monitoring and review across States in Nigeria.
