UN Ocean Conference

The UN Ocean Conference, taking place from June 27 to July 1 in Lisbon, Portugal, provides a critical opportunity to mobilize partnerships and increase investment in science-driven approaches.

When we protect the ocean, the ocean protects us back.

We must work together to restore humanity’s relationship with the ocean.

The theme of this year's UN Ocean Conference is "scaling up ocean action based on science and innovation for the implementation of Goal 14: stocktaking, partnerships, and solutions", which is aimed at starting a new chapter of global ocean action through propelling much needed science-based innovative solutions.

Please find a list of curated UNEP-organized events below (in GMT+1).

While the conference will be hosted in Lisbon, there are many opportunities to follow the conversation online.
