Brief Description: The expected outcomes are the following: 

• Awareness  & education on semi-precious stones (gemstones) economical potential in PNG as part of the NDM and mineral diversification by the Mineral Resources Authority of PNG
• Contribute to the policy for NDM.
• Produce a reconnaissance map of reported semi-precious stone occurrences in PNG.
• Training opportunities in gemology and small business development opportunities associated with semi-precious stone markets overseas.
