Curbing climate change and preventing deaths from air pollution go hand-in-hand and should be part of all countries' climate and development agendas.

Taking fast, ambitious action to reduce short-lived climate pollutants is vital to reducing the rate of global warming and keeping temperature rise below 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit) — the ambition that all countries signed on to as part of the Paris Agreement.

This webinar will focus on the health and development priorities that can be simultaneously be achieved by focusing on SLCPs in enhanced NDCs. It also highlights the many climate, health and development gains that can be achieved by focusing on these highly potent but short-lived gases which include methane, tropospheric ozone, black carbon and HFCs.

Co-hosted by the World Resources Institue, the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC), UNDP and NDC Partnership with support from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Germany.
