Sub-regional Capacity-building Workshop on Resource Mobilization for CARICOM Member States

The objectives of this workshop are:

• To enhance participants’ understanding of available biodiversity finance options, as identified in the CBD strategy for resource mobilization, and to give consideration to the use of these options in the Caribbean context;
• To support, encourage and facilitate the mainstreaming of biodiversity and the integration of biodiversity values into national accounting, planning processes and national development strategies;
• To enhance countries’ capacity to meet the targets for resource mobilization adopted in decision XII/3 of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
