Orientation Course on Security, Fragility and Development in the Context of EU External Action

Between 3 – 6 December 2012, the European Commission, DG Development and Cooperation - EuropeAid, Fragility and Crisis Management Unit organized the "Orientation Course on fragility, security and development in the context of EU external action", together with the European Security and Defence College and Egmont Institute.

The main beneficiaries of the training were DG Development and Cooperation - EuropeAid Headquarters and Delegations staff, but also diplomats, civilians or civil administration and military personnel from Member States, NATO, EDA, SATCEN, who benefitted from relevant expertise in order to reach a common understanding on standard concepts of crisis management/fragility/ EU common approach, as well as development issues in the wider context of CFSP/CSDP.
