Newsletters and links to news sources issued by UNEP
UNEP and its various offices, the Secretariats it hosts, and programmes and initiatives it is involved in have newsletters which are periodically sent out. Below is a non-exhaustive overview redirecting readers to some of these newsletters or relevant press centres for related news.

Secretariats
UNEP hosts several environmental conventions, secretariats and inter-agency coordinating bodies. Below are some examples of the newsletters of such conventions, secretaries and coordinating bodies according to their field of expertise:
Climate Change
- Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) has newsletters, subscribe through mail
- Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) has a newsletter, subscribe here.
- Ozone Secretariat no longer has a newsletter, but has a press centre
Ecosystem Management
- Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) has a press centre, CITES no longer produce a newsletter but the newsletter archive can be found here
- Convention of Migratory Species (CMS) E-Newsletters can be found here
- Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystems Services (IPBES) has newsletters, subscribe
- Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has various publications to be found here

Chemicals and waste
- Basel, Rotterdam & Stockholm Conventions (on waste, chemicals and persistent organic pollutants) have one collective (synergy) newsletter here, latest one can be found here
- Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICAM) has no new newsletters, however there is a press centre
- Minamata Convention (on mercury) news can be found here
Sustainable Consumption and Production
- UN Division for Sustainable Development has a database of old newsletters found here
Science Division
Foresight Briefs
Foresight Briefs highlight a hotspot of environmental change, feature an emerging science topic, or discuss a contemporary environmental issue. They provide a systematic way of examining possible future outcome of emerging environmental issues that can also inform decision making today. UNEP's Foresight Briefs aim to present emerging issues, systemic insights and possible policy solutions on a wide range of topics related to our environment in a short readable document. https://wesr.unep.org/foresight/briefs
