Revolution: From food aid to food assistance
This report presents lessons learned from the World Food Programme's (WFP) actions against food insecurity. The report is divided into 3 sections. The first section shows the methodology used by the WFP. Case studies shows the instruments put in place in several countries. Innovation in food assistance and in various sectors, such as as agricultural development, health, and women's protection, are presented. Lessons can be learned from those experiences in order to improve the impacts of food aid in the long run. More generally speaking, those lessons can contribute to designing food security strategies and policies.
