WHEN THERE IS GOODWILL

Most nations of planet earth have agreed upon international Water principles. The EUWI is contributing to reinforce political commitment towards these principles. This political commitment leads to tailor-made tools, policy options and recommendations. Policies are implemented according to the country needs where they apply.

THERE IS COOPERATION…

EUWI objectives require a strong support from the European Union and its Member States (MS). Several MS are involved in promoting National Policy Dialogues (NPDs) in partner countries from different world regions. The EUWI is entailing four regional components: Africa, EECCA (Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia), Mediterranean, and Latin America.

…WHICH BRINGS RESULTS

NPD objectives are to facilitate participation and communication between stakeholders in order to build efficient strategies for the water sector. EUWI members' work has been leading to high-level declarations 1) improving commitment to Water Supply and Sanitation (WSS) and water management; 2) influencing Poverty Reduction Strategies and allocation of resources.
