Create a Project
Projects are like a mini-website where you can share the experiences and lessons learnt from your interventions. Unlike Groups, they are not a community and do not have a member section. Only those administering the project can contribute contents. Projects can be seen by anyone visiting the site.
To create a Project, follow these quick steps:
- Select the Create a Project link on the PROJECTS page
- Complete and submit your Project details
- You will receive an e-mail to confirm your submission
- Your request will be treated by the Capacity4dev team
- You will receive an e-mail with a decision
- If your request is approved: your Project will enter into a Draft status
Detailed Steps
Select the Create a Project link on the PROJECTS page:

Complete and submit the form by entering your Project details:
Project name: we recommend something short and simple. The name of a project will automatically be translated into a path for your Project's URL (to select a shorter path, click Edit). You can add a tag line to complement your title, and indicate the stage.

Project Banner: Upload a banner image (min. dimensions: 940 x 300 pixels | max filesize: 2 MB) that will be displayed on your Project's Home. Whenever adding an image, we recommend you add an alternative text and title for accessibility purposes.

Project Thumbnail: add a thumbnail image (min dimensions: 60 x 60 pixels | max filesize: 512 KB) that will be displayed on all list views (related Projects), as well as the PROJECTS page and on search results:

Description: Add a description to explain what your Project is about. The description will appear in lists, for example: on the PROJECTS page and on search results.

Project Website: if you have a project or programme website, add it here by giving it a title and URL:

Lifecyle: indicate the duration of your project with a start and end date:

Budget: indicate the total budget and currency, followed by the sources of funding and stakeholders. If you need to add several items, click on add another item

European Commission Info: projects financed by the European Comission will have one or several CRIS contract and decision numbers. You can indicate one or several references for each contract / decision:

Metadata: You can select up to three Topics (and unlimited sub-topics) and up to three Regions (and unlimited countries) to define your Project's main focus.

Partners: this section lets you upload partners, each with a title, icon, and URL. It is one of the homepage elements. We recommend to come back to this section once your project is approved.
Related Content: this section lets you define related Group(s) or Project(s). It is one of the homepage elements. We recommend to come back to this section once your project is approved.
Homepage: the homepage is made up of elements that can be added to the (wide) left column, or the (narrow) right column. We recommend to come back to these once your project is approved.
Message to site administrator: you can indicate the purpose of your group, you objectives, and any other details.

When you're ready, press the Request button. Your Group is now saved under the Requested status (more on Group statuses).
