I am an environmental economist, who since 2003 has been working as sustainability practitioner, specializing in strategic planning and operational plan development for projects and companies. Previously, after my degree in Economics, I also gained eight years’ experience in a medium-sized financial institution in Italy, for credit evaluation, granting and management to SME and corporate banking for business development and trade expansion. Then I worked in China and Russia as a technical advisor for governmental, private organizations and commercial banks for the strategic development of the financial sector, its products and related regulation for four more years. I have always being interested in development economics and how to effectively implement sustainable development. Therefore, following my Master in Environmental Management and Development I fully committed to sustainability. I worked on several projects for the implementation of sustainability, SCP, Climate Change adaptation and mitigation in Australia, Syria, Spain, Croatia, Albania, Morocco, Tunisia and Jordan.
I now work on the implementation of a new business model for financial institutions to first) evaluate the better profitability of green or greener enterprises in economic and financial terms; second) to introduce innovative financial instruments for green business development; and third) to support political institutions and regulators for institutional reinforcement and green growth knowledge development to develop policy instruments to attract green investments.
