Increasing resilience: access to sexual and reproductive health for women with disabilities

In the context of the European Disability and Development Week initiated by the International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC), DSW and Light for the World are glad to invite you to a roundtable, organised in cooperation with the permanent representation of Finland to the EU, on  “Increasing resilience: access to sexual and reproductive health for women with disabilities”

It will take place on Thursday 7 December 2017 from 8.30 to 9.45, at the Aloft Brussels Schuman EU Hotel, Place Jean Rey, 1040 Brussels.

The objective of this roundtable is to exchange on the importance to increase the resilience of women and girls with disabilities in low and middle income countries, and the role access to health and more specifically sexual and reproductive health can play in this regard.

It will take the form of an informal exchange with

  • Abia Akram, Co-Chair Asia Pacific Women with Disabilities United (APWWDU),
  • Mehrit Nigussie, vice chair of the Federation of Ethiopian National Associations of PWD
  • Cecile Vernant, Head of EU advocacy DSW
  • Satu Lassila of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland  
  • Representative from European Commission, DG DEVCO (TBC)
