About the group

Welcome to the Group on Education and Development! 

Education policy is increasingly being seen as one of the most important issues in the development policy discussion and debate. Evidence shows that it constitutes an effective response to poverty and vulnerability. It also greatly contributes to mitigation of the impact of climate change, response to digitalization challenges, promotion sustainable jobs and growth, mitigation of the negative impacts of migration, ensuring better governance, peace and security. It must also be considered in any immediate response to a crisis, and is a vital component of longer term economic and social development strategies. By investing in quality education for all, the European Union and its Member States contribute to building more prosperous, inclusive, greener, safer and sustainable societies.

This group intends to be an interactive site for accessing information and exchanging ideas. It is coordinated by the education sector in INTPA G3 and aims to bring together those involved in education and development. So please take a look around and get involved!
