Disaster Risk Management, DRM for Civil Protection Committees, Training Manual, Salima District, Malawi

COOPI/Malawi/2015. This DRM Training Manual for Civil Protection Committees is in line with the Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015: Building the Resilience of Nations and Communities to Disasters.This manual is meant as a guide for CPCs at the Village, Area and District level. Attempts were made to make it relevant for all these levels. It has been compiled with the financial assistance of DIPECHO, a partner of Cooperazione Internazionale  (COOPI) in disaster preparedness programs in southern Africa. It is inclusive of inputs from the Salima District Council, and the Department of Disaster Management Affairs. The aim  of the manual is to build the capacity of committees responsible for management of DRR programmes at the district level. It is meant to be a companion manual to be carried along as Civil Protection Committees go about their work. The contents of this manual do not represent the official position of COOPI, DIPECHO, the Salima District Council, the Department of Disaster Management Affairs or indeed the Government of Malawi.
