New report "Crowdfunding: reshaping the crowd's engagement in culture"

This is the first study to provide a complete overview on the use and impact of crowdfunding for the cultural and creative sectors (CCS) in Europe. It maps and analyses how crowdfunding is currently being used for the benefit of cultural and creative activities, and evaluates to what extent barriers hamper the further integration of crowdfunding in the financing mix and broader practice of CCS actors. The report also introduces a number of policy measures that could be undertaken by local, regional and European authorities in order to facilitate the use of crowdfunding, as an additional method of financing for CCS.
