
Innocent Onah
Dr. Innocent Onah is a Sustainability Expert with special interest in the intersection between sustainable business investments, governance of natural resources, climate change and Green Growth. He is currently a Consultant at the African Development Bank where he is mainstreaming climate change and green growth considerations into Bank’s lending and non-lending operations.
Dr. Innocent Onah previously served as Special Assistant to the President of the Senate of Nigeria and Pioneer Director of the Global Legislators Organisation for a Balanced Environment (Nigerian Chapter). He is working towards how Green House Gas accounting will determine the price of stocks, how the GDP and HDI of African countries will be based on the value of natural capital, and how sustainable management of natural resources can meet multiple societal goals.
Dr. Onah holds a PhD degree in Environmental Resource Management from Nasarawa State University; a Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences and Resource Management from the University of Bonn-Germany; and a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (Economics) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.
