Innovative Financing for Development

Microfinance expands access to credit, savings and other financial services for underserved populations, including poor households and micro-entrepreneurs. Key providers include microfinance institutions, specialised NGOs and banks. The EC supports microfinance and capacity development interventions for inclusive finance aim to strengthen local providers; build the financial infrastructure and encourage appropriate regulatory frameworks.
